Dimension Machine Engineering, L.L.C. is a full-service Design and Build facility. From the initial concept meetings, all the way through to the completed installation on your floor, we manage the project to ensure that your needs and quality requirements are met.

At the initial meeting, we discuss your specific machine and production needs. This helps us to conceptualize the design and determine what initial capability requirements can be met with that design. We will then produce concept drawings for your review. Once a mutual understanding of the concept for the machine is formulated, we begin the process of completing a sales proposal for design, build and installation of the machine.

After the sales proposal has been completed, approved and awarded, a project manager is assigned to coordinate the project. This person will be the liaison between you, our design team and our build team to ensure your project is completed smoothly and successfully.

The first phase of any project is normally spent with our design team. This team takes the concept drawings and begins the complex task of transforming them into complete machine drawings. Then our build team can begin production on your specialized machine.

The design drawings are quality checked and then sent out for your final approval. Once approved, the completed drawings are given to our purchasing team. They will then review the drawings and, from the detail listings, determine what needs to be ordered. This will enable us to get preliminary pricing from our vendors. After the purchasing requirements are coordinated with the project manager, purchase orders are issued. Our main focus when ordering purchased items for your project is to ensure the delivery dates are met so that the project runs smoothly.

Many of the machines we have built in the last four years have used our index table design. The example shown highlights the detail and individual parts of our DME standard heavy duty 96" index table and base. Our index tables are robust and accurate within three arc seconds and allow us to design multi function machines with numerous stations to fit your machine requirements.

Dimension Machine Engineering

After the index table is designed, fabricated, machined, and assembled, our build team begins assembling the rest of the machine. This process requires the coordination of efforts between our design team, build team, electrical team and hydraulic team. Each team is responsible for making sure that their part of the project is done in a timely and efficient manner while always maintaining DME's high quality standards.

Qualified Teams at Dimension Machine Engineering

We have qualified teams to handle the electrical and hydraulic needs of each project. These teams work with both the project manager and design team to ensure that the design and final installation of these two important elements are totally compatible with the functionality of the machines.

The completion phase of the machine

The next step is the actual completion phase of the machine. After electrical and hydraulic components are installed, the machine goes through a series of rigorous tests for both repeatability functions and adherence to C.P.K. requirements. At this stage, the machine is debugged and other machine modifications are made. Both the design and build teams work closely to ensure that the machine is functioning as designed and, more important, is producing quality parts in a consistent and efficient manner.

Finally, the machines are painted to customer specifications and then disassembled for shipment to your facility. Our build team will supervise the installation of the machine on your floor. As part of our installation process, you will receive detailed operating manuals and a set of drawings for your files.
